However that file is available:
houghi@penne : ls /usr/local/lib/libr* /usr/local/lib/librlog.la
/usr/local/lib/librlog.so
/usr/local/lib/librlog.so.1
/usr/local/lib/librlog.so.1.3.4
Is /usr/local/lib in your /etc/ld.so.conf file? If not then add it and
run ldconfig -v (as root).
WYes, it was in there. Running "ldconfig -v" however did help. I also
needed to do a `modprobe fuse`.
At first sight it looks realy nice. You don't need to add a real
partition. Once you have it running, just make two driectories.
The first is where the real (encrypted) data will be. They use ~/.crypt
as an example, because it is hidden. Obviously you can place it
anywhere. The other is somewhere were you mount it. As an example they
use ~/crypt. So obviously without the . in front of it.
As it just takes up the 'normal' space, you can use it for anything you
desire e.g. your Mail directory or your Documents directory.
Here the examples of both directories. The first not encrypted and the
second is:
houghi@penne : l crypt/
total 13
drwxr-xr-x 2 houghi users 112 2006-12-01 00:49 ./
drwx------ 142 houghi users 9632 2006-12-01 00:49 ../
-rw-r--r-- 1 houghi users 25 2006-12-01 00:49 text_file.txt
[~]
houghi@penne : l .crypt/
total 17
drwxr-xr-x 2 houghi users 112 2006-12-01 00:49 ./
drwx------ 142 houghi users 9632 2006-12-01 00:49 ../
-rw-r----- 1 houghi users 239 2006-12-01 00:45 .encfs5
-rw-r--r-- 1 houghi users 41 2006-12-01 00:49 YpRfG61Rs4x-1cYMVjmjS938
With much larger files there is no real size difference.
Also something I tried to so as root:
root@penne : l /home/houghi/crypt
/bin/ls: /home/houghi/crypt: Permission denied
Now ain't that sweet.
