MP3 Support in k3b with OpenSuse 10.2 Final

I have a feeling I may be missing something very simple here but its
driving me nuts, so I'll ask here. I recently downloaded the final
version of OpenSuse 10.2 and installed on my test machine. So far I
like it very much, I've got everything working as I like except for one
thing. I can't get k3b to burn an audio CD using MP3s, 'unsupported
format'. I remember this problem with Suse 10.1, and was able to solve
it by installing the Packman version found here:
http://packman.links2linux.org/package/k3b
Obviously there is no rpm available for Suse 10.2 here. I do have
lame, mad etc... installed, and my system can play mp3s with no
problem. I have downloaded and compiled the source for both the
0.12.17 and 1.0 RC1 versions. Neither of them will allow me to burn
with my mp3 files. Is this even possible in Suse 10.2 at this point??
Or am I missing something? Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks in advance.
