Et circa horam Saturday 09 Dec 2006 20:51, clamavit Jacek K. Błaszkowski:
If I find something more, I'll add it here.Update.
+ NetworkManager works really nice with bcm43xx driver.
+ YAST package management displays information and progress bars during
initialisation. It's a small thing, but it was really stupid in <=10.1,
when the manager was doing "something" and you could not guess what it was.
- because of those progress bars a stupid thing appeared. I have two
language packs installed: English (UK) and Polish. When adding a package
repository (I use two at the moment: mirrorservice.org and Packman), it
downloads package description in all languages. What for? If an user has
en_GB and pl_PL installed, then he'll rather not miss not having Hungarian
and Portugese descriptions. I don't know whether it happened in previous
versions as well, because it never showed what it was doing.
- Still no luck with bluetooth + kblueetoothd. The USB dongle is recongised
correctly, the phone is visible and pairs correctly (an improvement over
10.1, which displayed lots of random "pairing not allowed" errors), but
when I click "OBEX file transfer", which is what I mainly want to use bt
for, the directories on the mobile appear with 000 permissions :/
- As stated in another thread, power, sleep and lid buttons not working when
kpowersave is running. Most weird.
Regards, jkb
