Re: Is Suse gonna be gone next year?

I'm still trying to work out why, with all its money & thousands of
programmers, M$ made such a mess of Vista. The much-vaunted features,
such as WinFS, are vopourware; security *may* be improved marginally
(but the default login could still be with full admin rights!); & DRM
will apparently deprive users of legitimate access to their data (if I
bought a copy of something, why can't I play it on whatever equipment I
chose in my own home?).

I shall stick with WinXP as my fallback till I'm able to do everything
that I want to on Linux. When that day dawns (I hope it's soon!), I
shall 'wash that OS right out of my hair'.

One of my few concerns about open-source software is that people may
fight each other instead of cooperating to produce good software that
reduces M$'s hold on the market. Already, we have the GPL3-v-GPL2 row,
the row over the M$-Novell 'pact; & the warfare within the Debian camp.
Please, folks, remember that M$ loves to 'divide & rule'.
