The Future, I like using Rose Garden but it has timing issues with SuSe
that I am at a loss at how to resolve,

You have to change the timing resolution from 250Hz to 1000Hz you have to
do this by changing the timing resolution in the kernel. To do that the
kernel source must be installed. you must be in root to do the following

cd to /usr/src/linuxx-2.6.18.2-34
zcat /proc/config.gz > .config
make menuconfig
scroll down to processor type and features press enter
scroll down to timer frequency press enter and select 1000Hz
then exit until it asks you to save
then type make bzImage && make modules && make modules-install && make
install

and you done. If you are using the nvidia driver from nvidia you will
have to reinstsall it after recompiling the kernel. and then you are done

sorry that should be modules_install

Have finished, and Rose Garden opens without error message.

Many thanks for that.
