When 10.2 was installed it asked if you wanted to 'disable IPv6', which
it did successfully. In the past you had to make changes to
/etc/modprobe.conf. How does it do it ? I have been looking in the /etc
directory for a global configuration setting without success.
yast/system/ etc/sysconfig Editor/Desktop/KDE_USE_IPV6
That setting is still 'yes', so it is not what disables IPv6 globally.
Craig,
modprobe.conf
....
alias sit0 ipv6
# install net-pf-10 /bin/true
....
uncomment install net-pf-10 /bin/true
and it will do nothing and exit with success ;-)
rcnetwork restart
However I would change Firefox too, as it seems unaware of other settings.
