powersaved and powertweakd.
Still, the monitor shuts off after 15 minutes of inactivity. What am I
missing? Thanks for your help.

Many monitors have a suspend function too.

... turning off display needs to be supported by the drivers / computer ... Try setting your screensaver to Blank,, I would think all monitors by now accept the blank to go into power savings mode. ... Use a screen saver that doesn't animate .. ... Might also look at your monitor settings, you might see a disable setting on the power saver feature for non energy star conforming video cards. ...
