is any one having problems converting mp3 to wav if so how do you get
round this problem. I had it working fine when i first install now it
won't do it
ops forgot to say i am using opensuse10.2
decided breaking Audio and Video playback wasn't enough, they have now
broken K3b too! I am first noticing this in 10.1 and don't know how far
back it goes - but not very...
It is a little tricky to fix, but not hard:
1. Disable your Novell SUSE installation source in YaST and make sure
your Packman source is enabled. This is because the Novell source will
clash with the Packman source, and Packman updates don't set the new
package to protected (apparently, they now should, or at least rename
it, like they do for xine).
2. Now go to software management in YaST and Trash-can (remove) your
SUSE packaged K3b. Wait for it to complete, and choose to install more.
3. Still in software management, search for K3b and select it. Make
sure the packager is not SUSE (it should be Links2Linux or other Packman
provider). Install, and if you don't already have them, libmpcdec and
mad will also be auto-selected and installed.
That should do it, everything will now work the way it used to.
