Yes, if you installed everything you probably have every server there is
starting up. Try installing a minimal system then adding what you need.

There is another way. Go to yast and select system. Then pick
system run levels (services). Look at the listing of everything
that starts up when you enter a runlevel. Turn off what you don't
need. (The man files are your friend here.) If you turn off something
that you need, just go back into yast and turn it back on again.

Even so, I'd first try to find out what is slowing down your booting.
The machine I'm on right now is an old 850 Mhz system and it starts
up fairly quickly (on the rare occasions when I reboot it -- it runs
24/7.)


Also, if you take a look at the "/var/log/boot.msg" file you'll be able
to see a service that an attempt was made to start but is "unused" if
you turn those services off the system won't try to start them and waste
time trying!
