The sound test didn't make any noise. I deleted and reinstalled the
soundcard with no change.
It's not that important, but it's the only issue I've had with my SUSE
10.2 install. I'm REALLY impressed on the installer and how well SUSE is
working.
I removed the TV tuner card and then reinstalled the sound and now it is
working. I'll be reinstalling the TV card later, once I know that the
sound install is working and stable.
After a reboot there is no sound again. I can delete the soundcard,
reboot,
and reinstall the card and I have sound at that point, but I lose it after
a reboot. It is not good enough to just delete and readd the sound.
Not sure what happened. Sounds has been rock solid since I posted this.
Possibly I kicked a cable loose, and that's what I'm assuming since there
was a fair bit of jostling around when I reinstalled the TV tuner.
