This is for example the relay bounced mail (I maked the user name).

Please reply to <Postmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Remember this address, because I think you're going to need it.
if you feel this message to be in error.
The original message has been removed from the bounce message.
Reporting-MTA: dns; mtaout02-winn.ispmail.private.ntl.com
This is the one that passed the bounce back to you.
Arrival-Date: Sun, 21 Jan 2007 22:28:16 +0000
Received-From-MTA: dns; aamtaout02-winn.ispmail.ntl.com (81.103.221.35)
And this is the server that tried to send the message
Original-Recipient: rfc822;user@xxxxxxxxxxxx
To someone @hants.gov.uk
Final-Recipient: RFC822; <user@xxxxxxxxxxxx>^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Action: failed
Status: 5.2.0
Remote-MTA: dns; mail5.band-x.net (213.232.68.16)
By sending it to a mail server here.
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 554 <user@xxxxxxxxxxxx>: Relay access denied
Which then, quite rightly, said I'm not a relay so don't try relaying
this mail through me.
Now, what would be interesting is why the server at 81.103.221.35[0]
tried to use 213.232.68.16 as a relay when the listed MX records for
hants.gov.uk are:
davjam@davids:~> dig hants.gov.uk mx
; <<>> DiG 9.3.1 <<>> hants.gov.uk mx
;; global options: printcmd
;; Got answer:

[0] Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their abilities when they
can't get even the DNS sorted out properly. That server identified
itself as aamtaout02-winn.ispmail.ntl.com, which doesn't actually
resolve, and has a rDNS of host81-103-221-35.not-set-yet.ntli.net.

Thanks David very much for your analysis of the problem. I'm glad it's not a problem with my postfix setup.
