Installation of 10.2 with nvidia Geforce card

Hello,
I tried to install Suse 10.2 on my PC with a Geforce card. I've read
lots of links and solutions in the internet related to this issue but
did not find a solution for my problem. I'm quite new to Linux,
probably to new...
I tried different alternatives to install Suse on my PC:
Alternative 1:
"Normal" installation. Everything seems to work well during the
installation. But when the installation has finished the screen turns
black and the system hangs.
Alternative 2:
"Normal" installation with adding an installation sources. Tried to add
an URL and entered as servername: download.nvidia.com and as folder
/opensuse/10.2. I always receive the Error message: "Unknown type of
source".
Alternative 3:
Installation with standard runlevel 3, start YaST2 and then add the new
installation source manually (as described under alternative 2).
Result: The system boots. But when I enter YaST2 the system comes up
with: "-bash command not found" although I can see that YaST2 is on my
harddisk.
Could anybody help a desparate switcher?
Thank you very much in advance.
Marcel
