How to install Suse linux 10.2 when there are already several
partitions, created in Windows? Namely, I have Windows on C: and
another partition E:. I mainly created this to keep data separated

C: primary parition
E: logical disk inside extended partition
Now if I install Linux, how should I rearrange the disk and should I
do it before installing Linux (for example with Partitionmagic) or
during the installation with the installation program?

You've not said anything about how much spare space exists on the drive or
if there is space unused by any partition. Let's assume that your MS 'C:'
and 'E:' occupy the entire disk. I would: start the Linux install and use
the included partitioning tool to shrink one or both of the existing
partitions - that will free up space. Then same tool to create a swap
partition (about twice the size of RAM) and a root partition for the
install. That's not necessarily the optimal partitioning scheme, but it
certainly suffices to get you started with minimal hassle.
