someone called Sharad Agarwal reported the same model number BUT different
FCC-ID numbers as being a loosemodem. Unfortunately, this data several
years old, and the address links on that web page are almost certainly
dead, so you won't be able to ask those two. Have you looked at the
PCMCIA-HOWTO for clues?

I tried to use the read-me that came with the pcmcia card but it
wasn't much help. I'll check out the sources you've suggested.
