No idea what this NIS is you talk about. And as there are two NFS things
to configure, I asume you used the wrong one twice.

Is that what you typed? Looks strange First the use of ' in a URL looks
strange and then the use of +address looks strange.

I had only one error msg, that was with NFS client who didn't want to
save to /etc/fstab

Well, what did the error message say? As long as you not not provide
somewhat information that can be used, this can go on forever, till
somebody, by change, guesses what you did wrong.

So please go back and write down what you did on what machine, what that
machine should be doing, what directories are going to be used and then
what you do achieve things. Humor us with details.
