goto to user setup and add yourself to the audio group.
it will work then.

Hi there,
I'm quite a beginner to Linux, and I've installed SuSE 10.2 with KDE 3.5
on
my second PC, just to see if it's something for me. First results are
fine,
but I have some difficulties with my SoundBlaster AWE64 and USB keyboard.
But sound comes first.....
At first the AWE64 wasn't recognized by Yast (it now is, and doesn't give
any error message), so I've tried some other things like ALSACONF.
As root I can get it to work, but not as user and it is not initialized
at boot time. CHMOD didn't change this.
I've googled around, but so far without any result
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks & regards,
Gerbert
