Hi,
For some reason I am suddenly getting the error message "smbfs
filesystem not supported by the kernel" when I try to mount an smbfs
file system. I have mounted smbfs filesystems dozens of times in the
past. I have not done anything to my system other than apply the
updates that come in through the online update system. What could be
wrong?
cifs is the only supported soln AFAIK moving forward.
Use cifs instead of smbfs.
