while trouble shooting connection problems with dsl I decided to
bypass router/network and connect modem direct to NIC, using yast to
config dsl. after config using yast,( which I couldn't get working) I
reverted back to router/network. I noticed eth0 activity but I had no
browser or other internet application running. later when I checked my
e-mail there was no e-mail on my isp provider. (I leave my e-mail on
server and archive once a month). My question is where did it go? What
program does yast use to download e-mail and where did it put it?
That depends upon what desktop environment you are using and what
applications/servers you have installed. One email program is Kmail.
Or you could use Thunderbird or any of the several other email
programs. But if you did not set any of them up then the problem is on
the ISP end.
Do you remember setting up any Email address for yourself?
Thanks in advance for any help.
