rrdtool folder. I
guess my next question would be, how do i hard code
usr/local to my path?
Pardon the intro questions.

Hi
This is the PATH environment variable. If you use the
command

echo $PATH

is /usr/local/bin and /usr/local/sbin in root users path?
Yes they are.

Hi
Hmmm, if you have a look at the build instructions for rrdtool
down in the doc directory. I think if you follow those
instructions it may be more successful. Looks like you need
zlib, libpng, freetype and libart_lpgl installed first before
building.

I did follow the instructions and installed all the pre-req. It
told me the software installed successfully. At this point rrd
tool is installed but the server is not using it.

Hi
So would have to assume all is ok with rrdtool then.. did you try
some of the rrdtool tests?
Is there any info in the documentation for opennms about the link to
rrdtool? Maybe a compile from source of opennms may be the way to
go?

I will do a little more research. Let me ask you this...Say I use
setenv to update a path, when I reboot the server that information is
gone. How can I edit the path permanently?

Hi
/etc/profile.local (see /etc/profile), .bashrc or .profile
