Help for installing prc-tools on Suse 10.2

Hi,
Finally I upgraded my production machine from Suse 9.2 to 10.2. My
first impression is quiet good - just a few minor issues (e.g. dma
of my cd burner is always resetted back to off).
Only one issue is nagging me: I develop some software for Palm
devices. The development tool chain consists of pilrc and
prc-tools. The last one drives me crazy: I can install the rpm
(version 2.3), but it won't run correctly. When trying to compile
I've got always an error indication that the installation was not
done correctly and it can't find its accompaning executables.
Because prc-tools is a patched version of the gcc compiler tools
(i.e. some links are hard-coded) to make it a cross-compiler,
usually this error message means that the installation system and
the system where the rpm was created are different in some way.
I have installed the same rpm on Suse 7.2 up to 10.1 systems
without having any trouble. So something in 10.2 must be
different. Is anyone having a clue?
Building the rpm from src.rpm should be the last option, because
it needs a lot of manual re-work and takes a lot of time.
TIA,
Guenther
.
