Hi
Ok, so when you installed from source, it went
to /usr/bin/rrdtool/bin this needs to be in your path. Check the
other two files are in the /usr/bin/rrdtool/bin directory as
well...

Strange that it installed there? Hopefully the library files are
in the right place.....

When you compiled from source, you didn't add the paths where to
install the files?

What would of been the exact way of installing it?
I did the following:

./configure
make
make install

./configure --prefix?? I wil try adding that path and let you know.

Sames results. If you don't mind posting the correct procedure on how
to delete and re-install rrdtool, I would really appreciate it. If you
can't see something wrong here maybe it's best to re-install the
package.

Hi
I would rebuild, remove the /usr/bin/rrdtool/bin from your path.
Look at the rrdtool-1.2.15/doc/rrdbuild.html section 'Building' I
would install in /usr/local/rrdtool.

cd $BUILD_DIR/rrdtool-1.2.15
./configure --prefix=$INSTALL_DIR --disable-python --disable-tcl
make clean
make
make install

Run the tests in /usr/local/rrdtool/share/rrdtool/examples/
if all ok I would run SuSEconfig then install the opennms rpm with the
rpm -Uhv <name of rpm>

I even ran SuSEconfig but for some reason the system doesn't see the
new version. Am I missing something?
