Right, you should have asked sooner. For instance: even if KDar is not
a standard in Feisty, Dar (without the GUI) is. I think you went through a
considerable work with too little result, as for instance the reinstall of
SUSE may very well have been unnecessary. But ok, I hope you enjoyed
testing this out, and the certainty that your backup works is also worth
something...
