Hi,
I am using a Toshiba laptop (Satellite A70) with opensuse 10.1
In the last days it is working very slowly. I think I might be

a- Can I do something to check the hard drive?
'badblocks'
b- Could there be another reason for the problem?
Yes, several. Could you be a little more informative of the symptoms?
Any help and/or advice will be wellcomed.

Hi,
Thanks for the answer. Mainly the symptoms are that it takes a lot of
time to open any application. Including a shell.
Second thing is that when I type something it takes time to appear on
the screen. Also if I run a program (typically latex)
it takes time to run.
Does it help?
