You might need to 'temporarily' turn of AppArmor. Then, after doing the
zmd
repair make sure you turn it back on.


I tried that, but it didn't make any difference. In the end I ended up just
removing the zmd-updater using Yast (in Software Management, deselected
Enterprise under the patterns filter). That took care of the problem, and
opensuseupdater is now the default updater.
