Hi Zach

Make sure you have the hplip packages installed. Some help you'll find
on http://hplip.sourceforge.net. This is HP's effort to get a python
based "all in one" setup running. Check that the one provided with the
SuSE distro supports your device.

Sane configuration in this case doesn't talk direct to the USB/device
but via a (python) module in hplip.

I'm sorry I cant remember how I set mine up, it was so long ago! I
*think* a separate process also needs to be started via runlevels but
make sure you choose the right one (There is an older "version" of the
project around I think called "hpoj")
