could not load /lib/modules/2.6.18.8-03-default_28052007/modules.dep

Hi,

i tried to modify my Suse 10.2 default kernel. But I'm still looking for a
solution of this problem if I start the new kernel.
Error message is:
"could not load /lib/modules/2.6.18.8-03-default_28052007/modules.dep"

What did I do before...:
- made an update of my Linux box

- added only support for smb in configuration

- make all && make modules_install

- renamed the kernel to vmlinuz_2.6.18.8-0.3-default_28052007 and moved
to /boot

- renamed the new System.map to System.map-2.6.18.8-0.3-default_28052007 and
moved to /boot

- mkinitrd -k vmlinuz_2.6.18.8-0.3-default_28052007 -i
initrd-2.6.18.8-0.3-default_28052007 -M /boot/System.map-2.6.18.8-0.3-default_28052007

- updated the /boot/grub/menu.lst:
title openSUSE 10.2 - 2.6.18.8-0.3 mit smb
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz_2.6.18.8-0.3-default_28052007 root=/dev/hda1
vga=0x314 resume=/dev/hda7 splash=silent showopts
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.18.8-0.3-default_28052007

I guess there is an simple error. Can somebody give me an advice to find
the reason of the error message above?

Thx in advance
Henrik
