I think I've discovered the culprit...

After logging onto the Enlightenment desktop I observed the same

freezing phenomenom. So I logged back onto the KDesktop. Then I started
KNode and it froze while /before the kwallet dialog appeared. I quickly
opened up KSysguard and noticed that.......oh it hurts........under user%,
running @ 55% was....'parse-metadata' !!

So I am now deleting that which I do no use and believe to be a piece of
crap....ZMD...

Zen sucks and I/we all will be glad to see it gone in 10.3.

I'll let you know if this cures the application freezing phenomenon.

I found similar lockups with ZMD. I got rid of it. Right now my only
problem seems to be with Knode not sending my posts if I click on the next
message too quickly. But I think that is more of a problem with my news
server with is Time-Warner/Roadrunner which is a piece of crap. I use to
use individual.net but their payment provider can't seem to fix a problem
with updating my CC information so I gave up on it.
