What's the difference between using "Online Update" vs "System Update" for
updating my system? I ask because if I use Online Update it says there
are no available updates, while System Update comes back with a list of
things to update (mostly packages).
Online updates does the security updates. That is the one you should be
using. Yes, it is very likely that there are no updates available
anymore
System update is to update your system to whatever you are already
running. Don't use it, unless you know what it does. I hope they
filenaly find a more apropriate name for it for 10.3
Thanks. Sounds like good advice.
So if I want to check for updates (or new releases) for installed
packages, what should I use? The normal Software Management in Yast?
