Dear everyone,
I am not able to enter the SUSE linux operating system. When the
operating system is loading I get the following message and then am
prompted for the root password:

fsck failed. Please repair manually and reboot. The root file system
is currently mounted read-only. To remount it read-write do:
bash# mount -n -o remount, rw/

How can I fix this problem?
All suggestions welcome.
Your probably have disk corruption. The easiest fix is to re-install
formatting the / partition. You do have your /home directory on a
separate partition don't you? If not you may have lost that also.
Sometime the repair mode of install will fix things, but it uses fsck
also and may not be able to.
If you do have to re-install, make sure you have /home (and any other
user data) on a separate partition.
