Unpause printer?

I have a shared printer that I connect through a Windows XP PC that I've
been (mostly) successful printing to from my openSUSE 10.2 workstation
(via SMB network server). Yesterday however it stopped working, and when
I looked at the "Manage Printers" it indicated it was paused (with a
back log of qued jobs). I could not get it to unpause however.
Deleting all the qued jobs or "resuming" had no effect.
How do I fix this?
I had this happen once before, and that time I ended up reinstalling the
printer to get it to work again. But that's a fair amount of work and
I'd rather find out why it's happening and fix it for good, if possible.
Any ideas?
Thanks for any help with this. -Pat
