I just found a system monitor utility and I was surprised at the amount of
RAM that SuSE 10.0 uses up from a reboot. I have 944MB and it told me I

is Kontact and a couple applets and I have 28MB free.
Also I have practically now swap being used, 12 MB, usually it is at 0.
Sometimes apps have memory leaks or orphaned apps continue to hang on to
memory. You can chase them down but I find it easier just to reboot on a
time or two a day.
It's really not a serious problem unless your HD starts "thrashing"
because it's run out of RAM and swap both. I've heard of that happening
but it's never happened to me.

Mozilla has been notorious for having memory leaks and some of those
stupid Flash things really eat up RAM.
