Right, if you are just talking about installing it. It could fail, but
without extra information, this is hard to say.

RPM is not realy forgotten and you should be able to use all three. Just
see that you don't use them at the same time.
So what repos does smart uses? What repos does YaST use? My guestimate
is that there are fifferences in those two.
I wanted to try it out and see what it gives with me, but I can not seem
to find anything that looks like a repository or a RPM when looking at
http://www.zoneminder.com/downloads.html
