Better wireless support (HP DV8000 laptop) was one of the reasons I

the problems with ACPI which I had in OpenSuse.
Just my small amount of money.
maybe I'm just sheepishly more loyal than I should be but I would hate to
give up SuSE. it is partly familiarity: I know (to a great extent) its
ways and am comfortable with them, for instance, rpm's; I know this can be
handled but it's these kinds of things one knows which make for comfort.
Suse did give me trouble with wifi on my other laptop but it was a matter
of just downloading the right bits from Intel and putting them in the
right slots.
I had assumed the same for this dv2000 but this ipw3945 thing is
byzantine, man!
