start Yast from a konsole window. the yast icon is able to start

It's somehow connected with kdesu, because if I replace the command with
gnomesu /sbin/YaST2 it works. In a konsole window gnomesu asks for the
root password while kdesu just returns.
I saw this problem mentioned as bug in alpha 10.2 releases, but it's able
to reappear somehow. Anybody seen this too? solutions? (well, it's not a
problem, but certainly annoying for unexperienced users).

The workaround was to change it to NOPASSWD , so I can do sudo without
password, and then kdesu just let me do YaST without any kdesu popup.
I never bother to find the problem, since I'm happy with the function as
it is.

popup at all, just nothing happens. It's a bug which is still not solved in
10.2

For me it works, so if there is a bug, it must be something that I don't
do.
Try xsudo first, then /sbin/YaST2 , and see if you get any error messages.
