kfloppy problem

have problem formatting floppy. If I run kfloppy under my user Id I get the
error internal error, device not defined properly. If I run as root it
format. My user ID is a member of the group floppy. Is there something else
I need to configure?

If I run KMyMoney under my ID and do a backup it works.
