One thing I noticed in the last install was that the .mp. version I thought
I installed didn't actually appear to do mpeg - the files saved by the
record function were .jpg
Ok, I have openSuSE 10.2 installed with a big partition for /srv, and
required addons in place.
Before doing anything with Yast I tried smart again with my downloaded copy
of the .mp. version.
smart asked to add these repositories on first usage, with no indication of
which IP address:
KDE
Guru
Current KDE
SUSE Linux updates
KDE community
SUSE 10.2 repository
SUSE 10.2 add-on repository
Latest wine
Latest Mozilla
Gnome community
Packman 3rd party packages
Guru 3rd party packages
Then it told me that no package provides php5 sockets and quit. So I guess
it's back to the last method, using Yast and the repository.
Still couldn't differentiate between the jpeg and mpeg versions but it does
find and include php5-sockets. Didn't actually do the install, checked for
php5-sockets alone and they are installed.
Tried smart again - same results, and then got the same results for the
non .mp. package.
So this time, it's what ever package Yast sees from the repository,
installed and running.
