svideo input jack? Sure. Works great.

I can put a sample up if you like (using something like a home
movie from VHS tape... nothing copyrighted of course!).

I'll just plug the sucker into my laptop.. carry it over to
my VCR and record. It's really as simple as:

cat /dev/video >my-movie.mpg

Drivers are built into openSUSE 10.2 ... anything of that
generation or newer should have the drivers. Prior to that
I put them into openSUSE 10.1 manually without major
issues.
