Thanks. I was able to start a download using a mirror in the UK.
That doesn't explain why the original dl was giving me an error though.
Anyway... off to the races.

Transient error.
For instance when the server is in maintenance mode, or too many users are
trying to connect at once.

I guess that I have seen something like that yesterday.
