Hmm ...

Tim, crossposting is not fine habit in usenet.

Sorry but this is the first time this has come up...I thought cross posting had to do with making multiple posts on multiple groups which may or may not be relevant. I thought a question which may involved either of two groups was acceptable and have, in fact, done this many times without it ever being questioned. I certainly never tried to hide anything...I simply didn't and don't fully understand "mounting" and as either SUSE or Ubuntu will be my OS of choice, it seems logical to ask each of them. I have no way of knowing whether my answer will be directly tied to one or the other. It seemed and seems logical to me that if I get an answer from the SUSE group, no one in the Ubuntu will continue trying to resolve my problem or answer my question.

So, for future reference, if I had a question about how a Linux program interacts with the OS, are you saying I should post, basically, the same question twice...once in each newsgroup without reference to the other? I can do it but, like the mounting thing, it just doesn't make sense...perhaps Usenet is like Linux and I've got a lot to learn.

If that was attempt to advertise them, it is not good idea either, as most
of guys here have different interest, like openSUSE 10.3 or similar.

Advertise what? It seems I've offended you and you're just taking pot shots. I can't imagine how anyone would possibly conclude that I'm "advertising" something...anything.
