Wireless home LAN

I am attempting (unsuccessfully) to set up a wireless home LAN using openSUSE 10.2 and Linksys WRT54G router and Linksys WMP54G wireless PCI cards on my upstairs and downstairs desktops.
In YAST>Network Devices>Network Card I have used User Controlled, Network Manager and Traditional Method with ifup.
Device type: wireless, Cisco (because Linksys is made by Cisco) and Wireless LAN cards using direct PCI interface.
I have tried using DHCP lookup and Static Address Setup.
IP Address: 192.168.1.1
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
The following I got from a printout of my Windows network:
SSID: linksys_SES_44131
MAC Address: 00-1C-10-50-B5-83
Router Default Gateway: 76.186.208.1
Any help with this would be appreciated.
Thanks.
