ok, a path like this had occurred to me; also looks like I may not

Just one tip, do not change the letter 'e'. She might need that. ;-) In
all seriousness, I am sure you will see characters that you know she
will never use once you launche the program.

fontforge will take some getting used to and right now I have some other
issues to attend to but will rtfm and get back to it.

I am still curious as to how the other program does it. Most likely a
font as well. What you can do is make the characters as big as possible
in the one program and thenuse that as a template.

Perhaps if you write ONLy those three characters in the other program,
save it and look at the source, you MIGHT be able to see something. I
know DOC files sometimes reveal information if not very much changes
have been done.

I am sorry for the delay in replying so you may have forgotten the
context, but I wasn't sure what 'other program' you were referring to.
just want to be sure I understand your reference.

my problem is creating a couple of symbols which I can then get into my
colleague's WordPerfect character map. frankly, I would like to know a bit
about hacking fonts for my own purposes in the future, but the immediate
interest is helping out my colleague. and she only needs about three
signs, all negations of 'implication', 'equivalent' and 'entailment'.

she won't or can't move to LaTeX though I understand she wouldn't have
this problem there. she is under publication pressure and doesn't feel
leisure enough to learn a new way of pushing out text.
