When I was using OpenSuse 10.2 and the Suse version of NX Server and Client,
I would see my own desktops on the client machine.
On OpenSuse 10.3, I get a weird (well different anyway) background and none
of my desktop icons and I have to explicitly run "kicker" to see the Kicker
Panel. I do not get to see my own backgrounds on the four desktops when I
am using a remote Windows machine, nor when I am using the NX client
locally for test purposes on my own machine.
I have installed NX version 2.1.0-35.2, FreeNX version 0.7.0-21 and nxclient
version 3.0.0-84 on my computer from the OpenSuse repositories. On the
remote Windows machine I installed nxclient-2.0.0-98.exe (I think).
Has anyone else noticed a change in the way their computer looks on a remote
using OpenSuse 10.3? Or even using the client on their local machine?
I'm using 10.3 too, with latest available FreeNX from the repo, and
accessing it without problems from a Windows XP as well as a CentOS 5.1
machine using the NoMachine client. No weird configurations used;
pretty much defaults.

Re: Request Regarding the "Remove SELinux" Thread ... heck - Ubuntu is shipping on Dells and will likely dominate desktops... This might even be a good thing, since they are not bound to stupid U.S laws, I was going to instlal F7 and compare it to opensuse which looks real nice, and ubuntu, however i did not have time, and since F8 is only a little way off, I will wait till then and compare, what concerns me about ubuntu is the myriad of updates released, its not as bad as fedoras, but close to it, maybe this is why opensuse is becoming most popular? ...
