Azureus has a new update and it keeps asking me to restart and restart
and restart. This also happens when I try it as root,
Another thing that happens is when I have downloaded
openSUSE-10.3-GM-DVD-i386.iso, it does the check and decides that it is
not complete, while an FTP tells me it is, and so does the MD5SUM
Any ideas what is going on?

Yes. You're having a bad day !! LOL ;-)
(sorry, couldn't help myself....)
Are you getting this from the Azureus website or is this an rpm package ?
I downloaded the newest version from the website and just did a
'./azureus'
and it ran fine on 10.3... Downloaded a movie without problem. Perhaps
you should launch from terminal and see what it says.
Azureus is running. It is 3.0.4.5_B04 and want to do an update to
3.0.4.2. So it downloads it, and then decides it want to restart. Does
so and then decides it wants to upgrade to 3.0.4.2, download it and
restarts and ....
Also the check of each file I download fails now and it starts to
re-download and then fails again.
Starting from a terminal does not show anything remotely looking like an
error. Also the logfile does not give me anything.
Must be the way you held your mouth when updating. I got into the same
goatrope updating on a 10.2 machine - just one, the other 3 went as
expected. I gave up, uninstalled Azureus, then installed the latest
version. Subsequent updates went well, so who knows?
BTW, the uninstall/reinstall process took a lot less time than I had already
wasted trying to fix the original.
