Re: (OT) Nokia Buys Trolltech

You might not, but there's no way of knowing what your fellow stockholders
will accept. They might not have the emotional stake in the company that you
have, nor the same bias against Microsoft. If the majority of stockholders
in Trolltech are owners strictly because they expect to make money out of the
company, a good offer for their shares, such as 60% over current market
pricing, could tempt them to sell, especially if the financial performance of
the company hasn't been all that great lately. Of course, this is all
predicated on the assumption that the ownership of Trolltech is a relatively
large number of diverse investors. Since I don't know anything about the
company's owners, I can't say with certainty what their intentions with regard
to the Nokia offer may be.

I can see situations where people would be willing to sell below the
current market value. In the end stock is worth what people are willing
to pay for it. Everything is possible.

In my opinion if you have bugs down there that are so bad
you need to use a pesticide, you're not gonna get laid anyway.
