you like and also can let any click do whatever you desire.
I think it is strange that a doubleclick closes the window in Windows.
With me it minimizes and maximizes.
My prefered setting is that it becomes just the bar.

In Windows double-clicking the title-bar minimizes and maximizes,
double-clicking the menu-button closes the window.
I find that I am often mouse-ing around in the upper-left corner of
the window, thus clicking on the left side is more convenient.
