IMO minimal spam here compared to some other news groups.

I think the amount of spam is the same. It is just that this group has
more mesages, so it doesn't look that bad. Although lately there are
less messages, so the spam ratio goes up.

Obviously much depends on what server you use and if that server filters
the spam out. As I have many servers, each spam that is not fileterd at
one server, it will get through.

Oh well, most of the spam I just do not even notice anymore. It is as if
I am walking though a city as nice as Leuven and see all the nice
buildings full of advertisement. The price of progress, I guess (not to
say greed)
