What do I need to do?

Though I finally got it to work a few weeks ago I don't remember how. This
(Firefox) and Scribus have both failed to update correctly in the recent
past due to what I 'believe' to be a poorly constructed script. Perhaps
the packager(s)/maintainer(s) of this/these package(s)s need(s) to be more
carefull...

Sorry this doesn't help you but at least you now know this is not just on
your system. Perhaps a newer scriptlet will fix the problem..
