Re: RC 1 is out

A friend is letting (paying !) me to install 11.0 on his notebook. It's a
Mac !!

1. I will have it ( the computer) around the 10th-15th. Will there be
another RC by then ?

Look at the website. I am too lazy to do it for you.

2. Will I have any problems installing on the Mac ?
(Yes I know to use the PPC Kernel !)

Yes/No. Please tell us what was the correct answer. My crystal ball is
broken.

3. Are the same Repo's available for the PPC or is there a whole other list
of repo's to use ?

Yes and No. Depends on the repo.

4. Can I install the RC (1 or 2) and then just do an online update to get
the Final Release installed ?

Probably, although RC is not a final product, so it might not work.
So a deffinat maybe here.

Please understand that a RC is NOT intended to be installed on machines
that will be used. Why do you hate your friend so much that you would
want him to run software that is unfinished?

The fact that you even dare to take money to install something that is
not a finished product is almost a crime against humanity.

Please do NOT install anything on machines that need to be running when
the product isn't officially released. Especialy if that PC isn't yours.
Tell him that he can either run 10.3 or wait a bit and run 11.0.
Also tell him this if he wants to run an unfinished 11.0 RC, he will be
not getting any support from you or from anybody.

Friends don't let friends run Alpha, Beta or RC software.

They say pesticides have been linked to low sperm counts.
In my opinion if you have bugs down there that are so bad
you need to use a pesticide, you're not gonna get laid anyway.
