You had problems with that server (speed) and the way Usenet is build it

No problems with my ISP (saunalahtI) as for speed.
But they don't do much filtering.
You started telling me that the server you used was slow. Wether this
has anything to do with your ISP, I have no idea.
Actually no. A spam flood was discussed and somebody
suggested a server. I tried it, it turned out to be slow.
They filter spam and Google Groups though.
My ISP is fast but does not do filtering.
I ended up using my old, the ISP's server again.
And often I don't bother to edit scores.
And even when I do I practically never announce my plonks.
Well, how should I know what letters you use. Thism is Linux. ;-)
Sorry. It's slrn. I thought you used that, too, my bad.
Hey, mayby you had changed the keys. That is possible. I have changed
some standard keys as well.
I'm using the default keys in slrn. Some things like esc have special
ways of sending in my Communicator though.
Hey, you can use both. ;-)
I do not even notice if a server is slow or not. I connect to localhost
and that has a great speed. :-D
I follow just a few groups so I haven't boghtered to use anything more
than just the client.
And here I thought you were wanting to learn and experiment a bit. On
the one side there are the people who use 1 program for everything: a
browser. On the other side there are people who use a different program
for each and every thing they can think of.
Being lazy I'm trying to find the most usable thing for everything.
It can be even the other OS sometimes. Like for updating my cell phones.
