Well, KDE 4.0 is indeed not usable (for me, but as I read also for the majority of others).

But without KDE 4, openSUSE 11 looks very decent to me. People who say it's slow usually don't bother removing all the eye-candy that is there by default. There's nothing the in the binaries that make it slow. It's the default configuration that makes it slow, and the configuration is up to you.
